Ranbir Kapoor’s highly anticipated mythological film franchise, Ramayana – Part 1 and Part 2, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has been one of the most discussed upcoming bollywood projects.

Ramayana – Part 1 is currently slated for release on diwali 2026, while Ramayana – Part 2 is scheduled for diwali 2027.

However, recent developments suggest that Part 2 may not arrive on its intended release date.

According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, ranbir kapoor has postponed the shooting of Ramayana – Part 2.

This delay stems from changes in his schedule due to another major project—Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film "Love and War."

Reason Behind the Postponement

Ranbir Kapoor had initially planned to complete the shooting of both parts of Ramayana before committing to Bhansali’s film.

The strategy was to wrap up the massive mythological project and then move on to love and War.

But as per reports, the progress of Ramayana has slowed, with no signs of the film’s completion within the original timeline.

Because of this uncertainty, Ranbir has reassigned all the dates that were reserved for Ramayana – Part 2 to Bhansali’s project instead.

As a result, the shooting of Ramayana – Part 2 will now begin only after he finishes filming love and War.

This rescheduling could push Part 2 beyond its planned 2027 release window, leading to a likely postponement.
