Telangana assembly elections 2023: Hyderabad: Unlike the last two assembly elections, elections are being held in telangana on Thursday. The election officials announced that 51.89 polling percentage has been recorded till 3 o'clock in the state. He said that the highest percentage was recorded in medak district at 69.33 percent and the lowest in hyderabad at 31.17 percent. While polling has already ended in some constituencies, voting will end soon in 106 constituencies.
In some places, there are strange situations. Voters are on the road saying that they have been cheated by distributing money to those around them and not giving them anything. In Illendulo of bhadradri kothagudem district, some women besieged the MLA's camp office. When asked what happened, cash was distributed in many wards of the town, but they went on a dharna saying they were not given money. It is alleged that the councilors have embezzled the money taken from the candidate without giving it to them.
Elections were boycotted here and there in some villages of the Vaira constituency. They complained that infrastructure facilities including road and drinking water facilities are not being provided in the new Medepalli village of Enkuru Mandal. They say that no one cares about their problem and there is no need to vote. No matter how much the authorities begged, they did not listen. They said that they have lost faith in leaders.
Polling was also boycotted in Satyampet of Satthupalli mandal of khammam district. The tribals asked why they should vote as no development programs have been done in their village. But they did not listen to officials who told them that they have a chance to vote for NOTA if no one develops it.
Anger that the Gram panchayat did not do it!
Voters boycotted the polling expressing anger that money was not distributed in some places. However, unlike this, the villagers of Waripeta in Kasipeta Mandal of Bellampally Constituency stayed away from voting. As they stayed away from the elections protesting that their village was not made a Gram panchayat, the officials are entering the field and negotiating with them.
Villagers boycotted the election in kothapalli of adilabad district protesting that they were not provided with road facilities. They alleged that despite the change of governments, they are not being provided with facilities. On the other hand, voters in mahabubabad demanded cash. Voters of Santulal Podu sc Colony under Santulal Podu Gram panchayat of Bayyaram Mandal expressed their anger that money was not distributed to them. Officials were shocked when they decided to cast votes only if money was distributed.
Polling concluded in those 13 constituencies - only those who are in the queue get a chance to vote
Polling has ended in all 600 centers in 13 constituencies of the state. Polling ended at 4 pm in the Maoist-affected areas of Manchiryala, Manthani, Bhupalapalli, Pinapaka, Illandu, Bhadrachalam, Sirpur tee, Asifabad, Bellampally, Chennuru, Aswaraupet, kothagudem and Mulugu. However, officials are allowing those in the queue to vote.
