In a conversation with Filmfare, shruti said, 'I became very humble after my parents separated. When we came to mumbai from chennai, it was not like we had moved from one mansion to another. Living in mumbai was not comfortable. But I am glad that I learned all this. From going everywhere in a Mercedes to traveling in a local train was a big change. I realized how we can learn from both these journeys.'
Shruti further said that after staying away from chennai for some time, she reconnected with her Appa and then she went abroad to study music.
Apart from this, shruti said about the attitude that she believes that she had attitude in the beginning. Shruti said that but it was not because she considered herself better than others, rather she considered herself inferior and lacked confidence.
