Mukesh Khanna: Is mukesh khanna not happy to see ranbir kapoor in the role of raja Ram? Expressed concern about 'Ramayana'

Mukesh Khanna On ranbir kapoor Doing Ramayana: 'Shaktiman' mukesh khanna has given his opinion on Ranbir Kapoor's appearance in the role of raja Ram in the film 'Ramayana'.

Bollywood superstar ranbir kapoor is soon going to play the role of Lord Rama in director Nitesh Tiwari's much-talked-about film 'Ramayana'. The film will be released in two parts and has a budget of around Rs 4000 crore, making it one of the most expensive indian films ever. While the audience is waiting for the film, veteran actor mukesh khanna has expressed deep concern about Ranbir's role.

Mukesh Khanna, who made his mark as Bhishma Pitamah in 'Shaktiman' and the tv series 'Mahabharata', recently said in an interview with 'Gallet India' that he is not sure about seeing ranbir kapoor as 'Ram'. He said that ram was not an ordinary warrior; he was 'Maryada Purushottam'. His character is an example of sacrifice, restraint, and humility. Mukesh says that Ranbir is a great actor, but the violent and fierce image of the film 'Animal' remains with him. In such a situation, whether the audience will accept him as Lord ram or not is a big question.

The film Ramayana is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who is known for successful films like 'Dangal' and 'Chhichhore'. Apart from ranbir kapoor, yash will be seen in the role of Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, ravi Dubey as Laxman, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman in this project. The most special thing is that Oscar-winning A.R. rahman and hollywood composer Hans Zimmer are working together for the first time in the music of this film. This pair can also give this project recognition at the international level.

Mukesh Khanna's concern is not limited to Ranbir Kapoor's image only. He also raised the question whether this film will be able to respect religious sensibilities in its plot and presentation. He also said that if Ramayana is shown in a modern style, its original spirit may be lostHe also clarified that he has no personal objection to ranbir kapoor, but good acting alone is not enough to play an ideal, restrained, and sacrificing character - one has to live that image. The first part of the film 'Ramayana' will be released on diwali 2026, while the second part will come in 2027. This film is being made keeping in mind not only India but also the global audience.
