After the release of Kantara Chapter 1, veteran filmmaker ram gopal varma (RGV) praised Rishab Shetty, calling his work “a movement of disruption.”
RGV even remarked that “all filmmakers in india should feel ashamed” after watching the brilliance of the film.
Rishab’s Humble Reaction
In an interview with Zoom, Rishab humbly reacted to the praise, saying:
“Main ek bachcha hu film industry main, wo itne bade legend hai..."
He added, “Unka praise karna ek bohot badi baat hai – toh main accept bhi nahi karta hu,” expressing that he finds it hard to even accept such high praise from a legend.
Phone Call from RGV
Rishab shared that RGV personally called him in excitement after watching Kantara Chapter 1.
He said:
“Wo film dekh ke excitement main unhone mujhe call kiya tha...”
Rishab emphasized his respect for seniors and legends, saying:
“Unke inspiration main hum aaye hai... mujhe competition ya records ka kuch nahi lagta.”
