Akshay Kumar to Star in hindi remake of venkatesh Daggubati’s Blockbuster

Akshay Kumar is set to headline the hindi remake of telugu superstar venkatesh Daggubati’s blockbuster film "Sankrantike Vasthunam."


The original film was directed by Anil Ravipudi and was a massive box-office success.


It reportedly earned between ₹250 to ₹300 crore worldwide, becoming the second highest-grossing Telugu film of its release year.


🔹 Action-Comedy with a bollywood Twist


The remake will maintain the action-comedy genre of the original.


Akshay Kumar was reportedly impressed by the storyline and screenplay, agreeing to the project instantly.


Dil Raju, producer of the original film, will also produce the hindi version.


🔹 Casting and Production Updates


Akshay will step into the shoes of Venkatesh's character, YD Raju, a suspended police officer.


The lead actress has not yet been finalized; the casting process is currently ongoing.


The shoot was initially scheduled earlier but got postponed due to Akshay’s busy schedule.


🔹 Plot Summary of the Original Film


The story follows the kidnapping of Aakalla, a tech CEO visiting Hyderabad.


YD Raju (Venkatesh), a suspended cop, begins investigating the case.


He is joined by his wife Bhagyalakshmi (Aishwarya Rajesh) and ex-girlfriend Meenakshi (Meenakshi Chaudhary) in solving the mystery.
