Rakhi Sawant marriage Dispute Resolved: high court Quashes FIRs
Actress rakhi sawant and her ex-husband Adil Durrani had filed FIRs against each other following their separation, involving serious allegations.
Rakhi Sawant accused Adil Durrani of:
Criminal intimidation
Harassment
Unnatural sex acts
Adil Durrani countered by alleging that Rakhi threatened to damage his reputation by making obscene videos of him viral.
The couple got married in 2022 following Islamic customs but announced their separation in february 2023, just a year after the wedding.
Both parties filed FIRs against each other post-separation due to escalating marital disputes.
On Wednesday, the bombay high court, presided over by Justices Revati Mohite Dere and sandesh Patil, reviewed the case.
The court noted that the FIRs stemmed primarily from marital disputes and stated that with the mutual agreement reached, there was no need for the FIRs to remain pending.
Consequently, the high court quashed both FIRs and the subsequent chargesheets.
Both rakhi sawant and Adil Durrani were present in court when the verdict was delivered.
Both expressed no objections to the quashing of the FIRs, indicating the resolution of their dispute amicably.
The court's decision allows both parties to move forward without ongoing legal entanglements related to these allegations.
This resolution marks the end of the public legal battle following their brief marriage and subsequent separation.
The case highlights the role of the judiciary in encouraging dispute resolution outside of court where possible, especially in personal matters like marital conflicts.
