Nela ticket revolves around an orphan played by Ravi Teja, who wants to help his neighbours, the needy people and wants to keep everyone happy. However he's confronted by the powerful and evil Jagapathi Babu who comes in his helping ways. How the mass hero Ravi Teja counters and overpowers the mighty Jagapathi Babu is what the tiresome Nela Ticket is all about.
Music by Shakthikanth makes you think if this was the same composer who set tunes for Fidaa, as none of his songs or the background score appeals. Cinematography by Mukesh is okay, and captures the songs colorfully with all glam. Editing by Chota Naidu could have been taut.
After scoring a hit with Soggade Chinni Nayana, director Kalyan Krishna made a cliched family entertainer with Rarandoi veduka chudam, which worked in parts thanks to the lead pair's chemistry. However this time around he has opted to go for a movie with a theme as well as making of 70s, and infact one would have to be given an award for finding the plot of this hotch potch movie. Kalyan Krishna, besides taking up a plot as old as hills, presents it in a boring manner with zero interesting sequences except for the first confrontation of Ravi Teja and Jagapathi Babu, and the screenplay also moves at a very leisurely pace without a flow. Had Kalyan Krishna concentrated on a pacy screenplay rather than selecting glam attires for Malvika Sharma, Nela ticket could have been a proper entertainer at the least. All said, Ravi Teja yet again delivers a dud, as he's totally out of form in this Nela movie from Kalyan Krishna. Skip this one!
