TV 5 did survey for the period between March 23rd and April 05th on AP elections and survey results are disclosed two days before the elections. It’s surprise that TDP gets 5% more votes in Parliament than to the Assembly. As per the survey TDP received 44% – 46% in Assembly and the same party received 46% - 48% to Parliament elections. YSRCP has received 41% - 43% of votes in both Parliament and Assembly.

As per the survey, TDP would get 18 (+/-2) MP segments where as YSRCP might win 7 (+/-2) MPs. It seems that TDP has managed to get 5% of more votes in Parliament. CBN fight on BJP and Modi since one year would get positive results in Parliament. YS Jagan didn’t criticized Modi and BJP as like CBN did during last 5 years. YSRCP MPs last minute suspension before the Lok Speaker accepted No-Confidence Motion hadn’t got much impression among the people. TDP MPs use this as opportunity to lash out Modi in Lok Sabha and YSRCP was badly missed chance to raise party voice on Special Category Status.

There is anti-incumbency on MLAs but not much on MPs. The selection of the candidates to parliament is the crucial for two parties. Jagan didn’t do much exercise on selection of MP candidates but CBN did his best. There are corruption allegations on YSRCP Srikakulam and Amalapuram MP Candidates and last minute entry of Adala Prabhakar Reddy in Nellore and Magunta in Ongole didn’t get much acceptance among YSRCP MLAs. Avinash Reddy has not actively participated in campaign after Viveka murder in Pulivendula for Kadapa Parliament. We will get complete picture on May 23rd.
