Quad Summit: Direct warning to China...

External Affairs minister S. jaishankar on friday gave a direct warning to china not to do politics on the issue of terrorism. He clearly said that at least there should not be any kind of politics regarding terrorism. jaishankar said this during the meeting of foreign ministers of the Quad countries held in Delhi. His reference was to China's efforts to ban those who promote terrorism from across the border in India. china has many times obstructed the proposals to be declared a global terrorist in the United Nations (UN). One such attempt was made by him in the case of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki, convicted of the mumbai attack last year. china, on the strength of its veto power in the UN Security Council, has been stalling such proposals to be brought under the 1267 al qaeda Sanctions Committee, which the world has been considering as its support to Pakistani terrorism.

Quad countries include India, America, australia and Japan. The formation of this organization is to curb the increasing interference of china in all the countries coming under the Indo-Pacific maritime area. In the meeting of Foreign Ministers of this organization chaired by jaishankar in delhi on friday, china was taken aback.
