In the defamation case, rahul gandhi has got a big relief from the sessions court of Surat. The court on monday granted bail to rahul gandhi in a case related to his 2019 remarks in the context of 'Modi surname'. Now the next hearing will be held on 13 April. Along with this, the court has also asked the defendants who have filed a defamation case against rahul to file their reply by april 10.
Surat court has granted bail to rahul gandhi on a bond of Rs 15,000. Rahul's lawyer had sought suspension of his sentence.
