With the goal of developing a sustainable robotics ecosystem, telangana has become the first state in the nation to introduce a state robotics framework. This aims to position telangana as a leader in the robotics industry by encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and research and development. The robotics framework was introduced by minister of Information technology and industries K.T. Rama Rao. It is the department's Emerging Technologies Wing's sixth framework of this type.

He pointed out that telangana put a great deal of emphasis on adopting the newest technical breakthroughs and on acting as a catalyst for technological innovations since it understood the crucial role that technology has to play in a state's progress from the very beginning. telangana created the Emerging Technologies Wing in 2017, a pioneering specialized vertical. "We selected eight emerging technologies that are at the forefront of the fourth Industrial Revolution, such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, drones, additive manufacturing, the internet of things (IoT), space technology, cloud, and robotics, and set to drive ecosystem development and government adoption in these areas," he said.

5 actionable policy frameworks on AI, Cloud, Blockchain, Drones, and SpaceTech have already been published by the state. With this, he claimed, telangana has established itself as a leader in embracing cutting-edge technology and a shining example for other states.

The robotics framework is a thorough road map that explains the state's vision for the growth of the industry in the nation and the development of the state's robotics ecosystem. The All india Robotics Association and the Emerging Technologies Wing worked together to build the framework with input from stakeholders, academics, and business leaders. The framework focuses on utilising robotics technology to promote growth and development across four core fields that have been identified: consumer robotics, healthcare, industrial automation, and agricultural.
