In the presence of chief minister M. K. stalin, memorandums of understanding for investment of Rs. 818.90 crore were executed with six companies based in Japan.

Chief minister M. K. stalin has made an official visit to singapore and japan to invite the World Investors Conference to be held in chennai in january 2024 and to attract investments to tamil Nadu. The chief minister, who visited singapore on 23.5.2023, has completed his two-day visit to singapore and is currently on an official visit to Japan.

Following this, today (29.5.2023) morning in Tokyo, the chief minister participated in the big investors' conference organized in collaboration with japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and asked Japanese companies to invest more in tamil Nadu. He also asked to attend the conference.

Following this, in the presence of chief minister M. K. stalin, memorandums of understanding for investment of Rs. 818.90 crore were signed with six companies based in Japan. Details of these MoUs:

An MoU was signed between the tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance Corporation and KyoKuto Satrac to set up a new truck parts manufacturing plant at an investment of Rs 113 crore 90 lakh on 13 acres of land at Chipkot Industrial Park in Mambakkam, kanchipuram district.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance Corporation and Mitsuba for the expansion of the factory of Mitsuba india Pvt. Ltd., which manufactures spare parts for four and two wheelers, located at Chipkot Industrial Park, Kummidipoondi, Tiruvallur District, with an investment of 155 crore rupees.

A memorandum of understanding was entered into between tamil Nadu industry Guide Company and Shimizu Corporation to carry out construction, construction engineering and related business in tamil Nadu.

MoU between tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance Corporation and Kohyei for setting up factory for production of Polycarbonate Sheets, Roofing Systems, Extrusion lines for electronic components for use in construction industry with an investment of Rs.200 Crores carried out.

An MoU was signed between the tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance Corporation and Sato-Shoji Metal Works for setting up a factory for manufacturing high-quality steel components used in the aerospace, defense and construction equipment sector with an investment of Rs 200 crore.

An MoU was signed between the tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance Corporation and Tofle for setting up a factory to manufacture stainless steel specialized flexible hoses for solar, steel plants, aerospace and semiconductor industries with an investment of Rs 150 crore.
