The tamil Nadu government has announced that a three-day flower exhibition will be held from saturday (June 3) to june 6 at Semmozhi Park in chennai to commemorate the centenary of late chief minister Karunanidhi.

In this regard, a press release issued by the tamil Nadu government says: Horticulture crops are cultivated in an area of 15.88 lakh hectares in tamil Nadu. Also, 79 government horticulture farms and 24 parks are being maintained under the control of this department.

Summer festivals are held in parks in Nilgiris, kodaikanal and Yercaud. Also, fairs like Charal festival at Courtalam, Valvil Ori festival at Kolli Hills are also held in other districts. Last year, the first flower show held at Kalaiwanar Arena, chennai was well received by the people.

This year's flower show, which is being held for three days from 3.6.2023 to 5.6.2023 at Semmozhi Park, has displayed various forms of multi-colored Koimalars and traditional flowers cultivated in tamil Nadu. Two and a half lakh koimalars and 250 kg of spare flowers have been used in this flower display. The flowers required for this have been procured and displayed from places like Krishnagiri, Nilgiris, Madurai, Kanyakumari, kodaikanal, etc.

The chief minister of tamil Nadu is going to inaugurate the 2nd flower exhibition to be held by the Department of Horticulture and Upland Crops at Semmozhi Park in chennai at 9 am on the occasion of the centenary of late chief minister Karunanidhi.
