Hyderabad sources have stated that taking note of the recent unrest in Medak district of Telangana over the Mallanna Sagar Project, the Congress Party on Sunday has lashed out at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government in the state while alleging that they were trying to turn the place into another Pakistan.
The Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao has told that expressing his concern on the condition of farmers and problems faced by them, Rao has said that the government should discuss the issue with opposition and has tried to solve it.
He has said that they are in the opposition and can safeguard the interest of the farmers and they are not against any development but the framers should not be victimized.
Meanwhile two Congress leaders were detained on their way to Medak District that is witnessing protests over land acquisition for the Mallanna Sagar irrigation project and the Telangana Government has issued an advisory while restricting the entry of outsiders to the village.
