The imprisonment of YSRCP founder YS Jaganmohan Reddy citing illegal assets case might be right in a way but the inner truth as everyone knows is, Jagan is paying the price for defying the powerful Congress party and becoming a threat to them. This is more like a battle between him and Sonia Gandhi.
But now the attention has shifted to the new area. This is Jagan’s confidence and Sonia’s calculation. The general estimation is that Sonia wants to put maximum pressure on Jagan and feels that at one point he will break down and merge YSRCP into Congress. This will be in exchange for his release and all charges dropped.

But on the other side, Jagan’s confidence is that he not only has good public support but also the 2014 elections will show the real power of YSRCP wherein he will become the kingmaker.
