The Telangana issue led to ugly and embarrassing scenes in Parliament today as PM and Congress President sat silently and embarrassed over the antics of their own union ministers and MPs with the increased tempo of seemanddra agitators over decision to bifurcate the state. "My heart bleeds to see what is happening in the house. It is sad for democracy," Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was quoted saying after he witnessed MPs from the Congress and TDP coming to blows on the floor of Lok Sabha .
What shocked him more was 4 union ministers rushing towards the well of LOk sabha and Speaker's chair- KS Rao, D Purandeswari, Chiranjeevi and K Surya Prakash Reddy - in an unprecedented manner taking on to agitative approach after high command failed to appease them and continued to ignore them . They raised Jai samakyandhra slogan in the house which stunned both speaker ,Sonia and PM . Pallam Raju, Kishore chandra Deo and Killi Kripa Rani stood up in their chairs and raised protest .
Finally four MPs had to stand guard to rail minister who cut short his rail budget ( vote on account) and one or two of Telagnana MPs( Madhu Yaski)stood guard to Sonia Gandhi anticipating attack on her. Congress MP Madhu Yakshi Goud stood protectively near Sonia Gandhi as loud protests and shouting drowned out Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge's speech on his department's interim budget.Members in the Rajya Sabha tore papers and held up placards near the chairman's chair for the third straight day
