Dr Dasari sudha won the by-election for the badvel Legislative assembly seat in the kadapa district.

She is the wife of the late legislator Dr Venkata Subbayya. With the death of Venkata Subbayya, the badvel mla, by-elections had to be declared for that seat.
With that, Dr sudha entered the election ring as a ycp candidate. Won a resounding victory by a huge majority. Dr Sudha, 49, is a gynaecologist by profession in Kadapa.
She graduated with an MBBS from kurnool Medical college in 1999. Her husband is also a doctor. They were serving at a leading hospital in Kadapa.

Venkata Subbaiah, who entered the assembly for the first time in the 2019 elections and won the assembly elections, died of an illness last year. With that, by-elections became inevitable.

Dr sudha is the third doctor to win as an mla from the badvel assembly constituency. Earlier, Dr Venkata Subbayya had won in 1978 on behalf of the Janata Party. Dr Sivaramakrishnaiah has twice served as an MLA.

According to Dr Sudha's election affidavit, there are no criminal cases against her. She has Rs. 1,11,72,175 worth of movables, and also she has assets worth Rs 48 lakh.

Dr sudha entered politics after the death of her husband and had the opportunity to enter the ap Assembly. With Sudha's victory, her followers and ycp activists are celebrating the victory.

In the badvel by-election, ycp leader Dr Dasari sudha won by a huge majority. She defeated her nearest rival, bjp leader P suresh, by a margin of 90,089 votes.

She got 11,1710 votes while suresh got 21,621 votes. The congress candidate got 6205 votes.
