Minister Ma Subramanian said that 493 persons are being treated for dengue fever, adding that the recently distributed Nora virus in kerala is being actively monitored at the border to prevent it from moving to tamil Nadu. 5,000 medical camps have been set up around the state today to prevent infectious diseases from spreading to the general public during the rainy season. To that aim, Ma Subramanian, minister of Medicine and People's Welfare, and BK Sekarbabu, minister of hinduism and Charities, flagged off ambulances leaving the Ribbon house grounds."Various preventive steps have been taken by the Public health Department to manage dengue fever," minister Subramanian told reporters in Chennai. dengue fever has been detected in 493 patients so far, and they are being treated. Since january of this year, there have been 4,052 instances of dengue fever. Smoke machines and mosquito repellents have been used to limit mosquito proliferation during the rainy season. In storage are 1.50 lakh liters of insect repellents such as Abed and Pyrithram.The norovirus, which has recently expanded in
kerala, is being constantly monitored across the border to ensure that it does not move to
tamil Nadu.
