The Bharatiya Janata Party's State unit's senior officials continue to quarrel, disagree, and wrestle, leaving the party's cadres perplexed and aimless. It's ironic that the different initiatives put out to support the party at the local level in the State have shown the division and schism among the leaders. It is now widely known that a number of leaders have voiced their displeasure with Bandi Sanjay Kumar's management style as the head of the State unit, and several of them have even protested to the party leadership. Before the assembly elections, leaders like nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind and huzurabad MLA Etala Rajender openly criticised Bandi and even tried to have him replaced.

The party cadres were further demoralised by the setback in the karnataka elections. The failure has made the saffron party's 'Mission Telangana' more challenging for it, as it had been hoping to win the State's next assembly elections. The party's leaders worry that the leaders who just joined the bjp with high hopes may decide to quit before the forthcoming elections. It will now be harder for the bjp to lure defectors from other parties, according to insiders.

Concerned with the state of affairs in the State unit, the bjp national leadership, which is closely following events in Telangana, has made the decision to hold significant public gatherings and rallies in the State, where speeches will be given by prime minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister amit shah, and bjp national president JP Nadda.
