On the occasion of the Bonalu festival, the chief minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao, paid a visit to the Sri ujjaini Mahakali Devasthnam in secunderabad on sunday with his wife Shobha at his side. The temple priests gave them a customary greeting and held special pujas for them. During the Chief Minister's visit to the temple, ministers Indrakaran Reddy, T srinivas Yadav, srinivas Goud, and Ch malla reddy were present in addition to Keshava Rao, a member of parliament.
Additionally, the chief minister conducted a special worship at the Muttalamma temple near the house of Deputy Speaker Padma Rao. Large-scale Bonalu celebrations were taking place in secunderabad at Sri ujjaini Mahakali Devasthnam. Hundreds of people flocked to the temple to ask the god for his favour. On the occasion of the Bonalu festival, the State government has undertaken elobrate arrangements at the shrine.

A Hindu festival called Bonalu is observed every year around Ashada Masam. This year's golconda Bonalu kicked off on june 22. The event is observed in Telangana's twin towns of secunderabad and hyderabad as well as other regions. Numerous devotees flocked to the decked-out golconda fort to seek the blessing of the Jagadambika Yellamma Thalli on the festival of Bonalu, giving the expansive fort a festive appearance and pulsating with "dappu" and "teen maar" rhythms.
