Don't be too happy, ED's powers will remain the same..!?

The supreme court has invalidated the third extension granted to DK director Sanjay Mishra by the central government. After the supreme Court's verdict, Union home minister amit shah said that people should not be too happy about the supreme Court's verdict on the ED.


The amendment to the CVC Act will remain intact:


home minister amit shah said that those who are happy about the decision of the Hon'ble supreme court on the ED case are confused for various reasons but they don't need to be more happy. He said that the amendment to the CVC Act was duly passed in Parliament. It has been upheld by the court. The ED's powers to take action against those who are corrupt and working on the wrong side of the law will remain the same. He said that ED is an institution above someone else. His purpose is absolutely clear. It will continue to pursue its objective of investigating money laundering offenses and violations of foreign exchange laws. amit shah said who is the director of ED - is not important because whoever will be in this role will constantly keep an eye on the corrupt who have an anti-development mindset.
