How did Mukhtar enter politics?


Mukhtar's son abbas is from Subhaspa and nephew Suhaib is mla from SP. After Om Prakash Rajbhar joined the NDA, the same question is being asked about abbas and Mukhtar.  After brother Afzal became mla, Mukhtar Ansari started contracting. At that time, it had become a creamy profession for criminals in Purvanchal. Mukhtar's business flourished because of his brother being an MLA. Meanwhile, in 1988, Sachchidanand Rai, a contractor for a contract of MandiParishad, was murdered.

Mukhtar Ansari is made an accused in this case. After this, the police make Mukhtar a named accused in several murders. Among these, the case of murder of Awadhesh Rai and Krishnanand Rai is prominent.

In 1996, Mukhtar entered politics for the first time. Mukhtar leaves the traditional Mohammadabad seat and contests from Mau. Mau is a Muslim majority seat, where the population of Muslims is more than 30 percent. After the announcement of Mukhtar to contest from Mau, mayawati handed him the symbol of BSP.

Mukhtar is successful in winning the 1996 elections and reaches the assembly for the first time. After this Mukhtar did not lose any election from Mau till 2022. In 2022, he handed over his legacy to his son Abbas. In 2022, abbas Ansari defeated ashok Singh of bjp by 35 thousand votes from Mau seat.
