Following its success in the most recent assembly elections in Karnataka, the congress party may appear confident in its ability to win the forthcoming assembly elections in telangana as well. However, it is known from its own surveys that this is easier said than done. The telangana congress party has allegedly recruited political strategist sunil Kanugolu and his Mindshare Analytics team to conduct a recent poll. According to the survey, the congress party is extremely weak in at least 35 assembly districts.

According to the team's latest assessment of telangana PCC president A revanth Reddy, the party has little prospects in these 35 constituencies because no credible candidates are running in the polls. In some constituencies, even the party network is ineffective. The sunil Kanugolu team informed the PCC that "the party has to put in extra effort to win at least 10-15 seats in these 35 constituencies."

It is still unknown if the 35 seats include the 24 members from the formerly united districts of hyderabad and Ranga Reddy. In these districts, the congress doesn't have a single seat, and Sabita indra Reddy, who won on a congress ticket in 2018, afterward joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi. At the PCC political affairs committee meeting on sunday at gandhi Bhavan, the sunil team's report was discussed.

The committee believed that the party needed to come up with a plan to win the majority of seats in the districts where it is weak. In order to get the support of the BCs, it appears that the party intended to distribute the tickets to the BCs in at least 14 seats—two in each parliamentary district. The PCC leadership said it would be very beneficial for the party. Additionally, it was determined that the PCC will conduct a bus yatra across the whole state, focusing on the weaker constituencies. At least ten top officials will go during the first portion of the visit, according to party sources.
