The telangana state cabinet met on monday at the BR Ambedkar secretariat with the telangana assembly sessions set to begin this week. In a brief news conference after the lengthy cabinet meeting, BRS working president KT Rama Rao listed the choices made by the cabinet.

The merging of telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) with the state government was the major statement made by the telangana cabinet. ktr notified the media that the state administration will move a measure in the assembly for the merger, which would benefit about 43,373 TSRTC employees.

This move, it seems, stunned a lot of people, and opposition parties think it's a ruse to influence voters ahead of the assembly elections later this year. Some have drawn comparisons between this choice and the one made by YS jagan Reddy in 2019, just after he was appointed chief minister of andhra pradesh, to combine apsrtc with the state government. However, the ap government has not yet finished the merger process due to financial constraints imposed by COVID-19.

In addition to the aforementioned decision, the telangana cabinet placed a greater emphasis on transport and healthcare. The cabinet talked about the development of the metro rail, and certain double-decker flyovers have been suggested at significant intersections. Additionally, new medical schools and hospitals were approved by the telangana cabinet. telangana will have four enormous medical schools and hospitals with a total of 2000 beds. To summarise KTR's news conference, the cabinet meeting's resolutions reflect the fact that the assembly elections were on the agenda.
