Former minister V. Somanna said, "I asked bjp to give me the state president, but if I am given the party's state president, it will be different." Through this, he has once again sent the message that he is an aspirant for the post of the state president of the party. Ex-minister V. Somanna said that because of the self-inflicted crime committed in the assembly election, I have done a disservice to the people of Govindarajanagar constituency and I have put a stone on my own leg.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, he said, "It was our people who cheated me in the election and everyone knows it." I submitted to the insistence of the party leaders and contested on both sides. I alone took the task given by the High Command seriously and worked. Even so, he had to lose the election. On one hand I lost by three thousand votes, on the other hand I got 70 thousand votes. He lamented that everyone knows how I failed. I made a mistake by listening to the elders during the election. I left the Govindarajanagar assembly constituency in Bangalore where my victory was certain and moved to another direction. I never thought in my life that I would lose. But, had to suffer defeat. It was our party members who gave me trouble. I was there for my song. I was involved in the development of Govindaraja constituency. However, he cleared me from there and instructed me to stand for election in two other places. I heard him wrong. I lost Govindarajanagara like gold', he reflected on the mistakes that happened during the elections. I have worked in Bangalore since 1983. I have worked for more than 40 years. "I have worked as a member of BBMP, as a member of the Legislative Council and as a minister," said the old man.
