Reports added that former mla in madhya pradesh mamta meena on thursday left the bharatiya janata party (BJP) and joined
the aam aadmi party led by Arvind Kejriwal. AAP’s rajya sabha member sandeep Pathak congratulated
mamta meena on joining AAP party. He said that former mla from Chachoda assembly of Madhya Pradesh
mamta meena and former IPS officer Raghuveer Singh meena are very welcome in the Aam Aadmi Party.
Together we will make madhya pradesh happy again. Long live the revolution. In fact, meena had left the
bharatiya janata party three days ago, angry over not being given ticket from Chachoda seat of Guna district
for the upcoming assembly elections.
bjp has announced the name of Priyanka meena from Chachoda seat in its first list of 39 candidates. At
present, Laxman Singh, younger brother of veteran congress leader Digvijay Singh, is the mla from this
seat. According to a release issued by AAP, mamata meena was inducted into the party by AAP national
convenor and delhi Chief minister arvind kejriwal in the national capital. meena said that she is happy to
join AAP and is ready to fulfill whatever responsibility the party gives her. The release quoted meena as
saying that people in madhya pradesh were unhappy with the ruling bjp and the opposition congress and
were willing to give AAP a chance. The release said that meena has been active in mp politics for 18 years
and has been the Guna district Panchayat chief.
Before leaving BJP
meena lost the Chachoda seat to Congress’s Shivnarayan meena by 8,000 votes in 2008, but managed to
defeat him by more than 34,000 votes in the 2013 assembly elections. In 2018, she lost from Chachoda to
Laxman Singh, brother of veteran congress leader Digvijay Singh, by a margin of 9,797 votes. Let us tell you
that it had come to light since monday morning that mamta meena was going to go to bhopal and submit
resignation letters from all the posts of the party. Before leaving bjp, he had taken out Janadesh yatra for his
supporters.
