At the massive gathering, which political observers believe to be the BRS party's electioneering effort in the malkajgiri assembly constituency, minister malla reddy would also take part. Rajasekhar now oversees the malkajgiri constituency for the party. Due to disagreements with the party leadership over the non-awarding of a ticket to his son Rohit Rao from the medak constituency, the current mla Mynampally Hanumanth Rao resigned from the BRS last week.

It's anticipated that Mynampally will join the congress party. Rajasekhar reddy ran unsuccessfully for the malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat in the 2019 General Election; the seat was won by A revanth reddy, the current president of the TPCC.
