The 'Milad Juloos' that were carried out across the city on sunday to commemorate the birth of Prophet Mohammed went ahead without incident. The Markazi Milad Juloos Committee, an umbrella group of many regional socio-religious organizations, organized the parade. There were over 20,000 participants in the parade. The principal route of the parade began at the charminar and passed via gulzar Houz, Shehran Market, Pathergatti, Madina Building, Nayapul, Darulshifa, Mandi Miralam, Alijah Kotla, Bibi Bazaar and Moghalpura before coming to an end there.

The procession was welcomed at charminar by hyderabad police Commissioner CV Anand, DCP (South) P Sai Chaitanya, and other police. The main procession was joined by a number of subsidiary processions from other locations, including Shaheennagar, Jalpally, Bandlaguda, Vattepally, Chandrayangutta, Falaknuma, and others. Food camps were put up along the route, and chocolates and bananas were also provided. Processions were also held at Golconda, Rajendranagar, Attapur, Ameerpet, Saroornagar, Secunderabad, and Saidabad, among other sections of the city.

Since saturday night, groups of children have been observed wandering around while brandishing flags and firecrackers. All through the night, there were significant traffic snarls on the roadways. The heavily deployed police made multiple attempts to improve the flow of traffic. On the twelfth day of the Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awal, Milad un Nabi is observed. The community leaders and organizers changed the date of the parade to sunday since it fell on Ganesh Nimajjan day. Additionally, religious gatherings were rescheduled for last sunday and occurred there. In conjunction with the Milad un Nabi festivities, blood donation camps were also set up.
