Samajwadi party has announced its candidates on 16 seats on Tuesday. SP has made rajaram Pal its candidate from Akbarpur lok sabha seat. Talking about education, the SP candidate has done LLB from DAV College, Kanpur. He was born on 20 november 1960 in Kanpur. His father's name was Ramnath Pal and mother's name was Rukmani Devi. Talking about rajaram Pal's political journey, he joined BSP in 1996 and contested elections from Ghatampur assembly on BSP ticket and won. rajaram, who became mla for the first time in 1996, contested the lok sabha elections in 2004 on a BSP ticket from Bildaur lok sabha seat. He had won this election also. However, after this his dissatisfaction with BSP increased and he joined congress in 2007.

After this, in 2009, he contested elections from Akbarpur lok sabha seat on congress ticket and won. But he had to face defeat in the Modi wave of 2014. Then he had to face defeat on Akbarpur lok sabha seat and stood third. Devendra Singh Bhole of bjp won this seat. SP's Anil Shakal Warsi was at second position. After this, again in 2019, rajaram Pal contested elections from here on congress ticket.

However, in 2019 he had to face defeat again. In this election also he stood third and Devendra Singh from bjp won. But in 2021, rajaram Pal changed sides and joined SP. Now SP has again placed its bet on rajaram Pal in Akbarpur. According to political experts, rajaram has a good hold among OBC voters.
