Where generally there is more focus on traditional issues like unemployment and farmer suicides. lok sabha elections in maharashtra will be held in five phases on 19 April, 26 April, 7 May, 13 May and 20 May. Counting of votes will take place on june 4. The BJP-Shiv Sena alliance had won 41 out of 48 seats in the 2019 elections, but the alliance of shiv sena and bjp broke after the assembly elections in the state.
However, a large part of Bal Thackeray's party has now broken away and formed an alliance with BJP. With ajit pawar joining the ruling alliance led by Eknath Shinde, there was a split in the NCP. In the 2019 lok sabha elections, bjp emerged as the largest party with 23 seats, followed by undivided shiv sena with 18 seats.
Previously in the 2019 lok sabha, Sharad Pawar's undivided ncp won four seats and congress won one seat, while one seat went to AIMIM and one independent. A total of 9.2 crore people, including more than 50,000 senior citizens above 100 years of age, are eligible to exercise their franchise in the upcoming lok sabha elections in Maharashtra. This figure is 34 lakh more than 2019.
