Delhi chief minister arvind kejriwal has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate, which is investigating the case related to the violation of liquor policy. arvind kejriwal has been remanded in judicial custody till april 15 by the delhi Rose Avenue Court. Accordingly, he has been lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail. Meanwhile, various cases are being filed demanding the removal of arvind kejriwal from the post of chief minister of Delhi. In that regard, sandeep Kumar, a former legislator of the Aam Aadmi Party, had filed a petition in the delhi high court seeking the impeachment of delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.


The delhi high court, which heard the case, dismissed the petition seeking the impeachment of arvind kejriwal and issued a stern warning to the petitioner. Earlier, the Chief Justice of the delhi high court had refused to hear the petitions filed by surjit singh Yadav and vishnu Gupta, but on the 3rd, the delhi high court issued a warning as a petition was filed again seeking the impeachment of Arvind Kejriwal.


Surjit Singh Yadav filed a PIL in the delhi high court seeking the removal of arvind kejriwal from the post of chief minister of Delhi. The delhi high court heard the case and dismissed the petition stating that the court cannot interfere in the matter and only the Lieutenant governor and the President have the authority to do so. Following this, vishnu Gupta, the national president of Hindu Sena, filed another petition in the delhi high court seeking the removal of arvind kejriwal from the post of chief minister of Delhi. While the court dismissed that petition, the 3rd petition has also been dismissed.


Meanwhile, minister Atishi said that delhi chief minister arvind kejriwal will not resign from his post. Resignation should be done only if the charge is proven and convicted. If kejriwal resigns, it will be easier for the bjp to topple the government in Delhi. Therefore, it is noteworthy that he has clarified that he will not resign.
