The election commission has decided to install a GPS location tracking system in all vehicles used for polling in West Bengal, an official said. He also said that information has been sent to the election workers in this regard.“The GPS tracking system will be used to track the voting machines distributed to the polling stations on the day before the election and to ensure that there is no tampering. The system will also help monitor their transportation to the room where they are kept after polling.” The official said. He said that if any discrepancies are found, the election commission has asked the administration to investigate the drivers of the concerned vehicles and the charge of the electronic voting machines and take immediate action.
