All three independent MLAs from the membership of the himachal pradesh assembly, K.L. Thakur, Hoshiar Singh, and ashish Sharma have resigned. Three independent MLAs had resigned on march 22, but till now this resignation has not been accepted. The assembly Secretariat had issued show cause notices to the three independent MLAs asking them to appear before them on april 10 at 12:15 pm. Three independent MLAs appeared before assembly Speaker kuldeep Singh Pathania today. The three independent MLAs have sought time till 2:30 pm to file their reply. The Speaker has asked the three independent MLAs to reply by 2:30 pm. Hearing in the case will start once again in the assembly premises after 2:30 pm.
Independent mla Hoshiar Singh said that all three independent MLAs have resigned of their own free will on march 22. There was no pressure of any kind on him. In such a situation, the assembly Speaker should accept his resignation. Independent mla Hoshiar Singh said that he has also filed a petition in the himachal pradesh High Court. In this petition, it has been requested that his resignation should be accepted as soon as possible. Hoshiar Singh said that he wants the assembly Speaker to accept his resignation as per the rules.
Meanwhile, himachal pradesh assembly Speaker kuldeep Singh Pathania said that a show cause notice has been issued to the three independent MLAs by the assembly Secretariat. The three independent MLAs were asked to reply by the evening of april 9. However, the three independent MLAs did not respond. In such a situation, they have been given time till noon to reply. kuldeep Singh Pathania said that after the resignation of the three independent MLAs on march 22, he received a complaint letter from 12 congress MLAs on march 23.
