Indian Coast Guard has seized 86 kg of drugs worth Rs 600 crore from a Pakistani boat off the gujarat coast and arrested 14 persons. The Coast Guard gave this information on Sunday. The force said in a release that the gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) jointly conducted the operation in the arabian sea during the night.

According to the release, this was the 11th successful joint operation of the Coast Guard and ATS in the last three years, the objective of which was to highlight the coordination between the two agencies. A top gujarat police official said that heroin has been seized from the boat. The release said, “The indian Coast Guard conducted an operation in Sagar on april 28 based on intelligence information. “After about 86 kg of drugs worth Rs 600 crore were seized from a Pakistani boat, 14 persons aboard the boat have been arrested.”

Coast Guard ships and aircraft were deployed

The release also said that Coast Guard ships and aircraft were deployed for the operation. According to the release, indian Coast Guard (ICG) ship Rajratan was used to identify the suspicious boat with the help of NCB and ATS officials. The force said that the 14-member crew of the Pakistani boat was being held and brought to Porbandar for investigation.
