In the lok sabha elections, swords have been drawn to contest on six seats in mumbai, where Eknath Shinde-led shiv sena and uddhav Thackeray's shiv sena (UBT) will face each other on three seats. There will be a contest between arch rivals bharatiya janata party and congress on two seats in mumbai, while shiv sena (UBT) and bjp will face each other on one seat.

The six constituencies of mumbai include mumbai South, mumbai South-Central, mumbai North, mumbai North-Central, mumbai North-East, mumbai North-West. These are among the 13 seats in maharashtra on which voting will be held in the fifth phase of lok sabha elections on May 20. There will be a contest between shiv sena and shiv sena (UBT) in mumbai South, mumbai South-Central and mumbai North-West, while bjp and shiv sena (UBT) will face each other in mumbai North-East. In mumbai South, sitting mp Arvind Sawant of uddhav Thackeray's party will face yamini Jadhav of Shinde-led Shiv Sena. Jadhav is an mla from Byculla assembly constituency of Mumbai.
Anil Desai vs rahul Shewale
In mumbai South-Central, shiv sena (UBT) leader Anil Desai is contesting against Shinde-led Shiv Sena's rahul Shewale. Desai was a rajya sabha member until recently, while Shewale is a current lok sabha MP. In mumbai North-West, Amol Kirtikar of the thackeray camp will face ravindra Vaikar of the ruling Shiv Sena. Vaikar was earlier in shiv sena (UBT) and has recently joined the Shinde camp. He is currently the mla from Jogeshwari east assembly constituency in Mumbai. congress mumbai unit president and mla Varsha Gaikwad will contest against bjp candidate renowned lawyer Ujjwal Nikam in mumbai North-Central, while Union minister and veteran bjp leader piyush goyal will take on Congress's bhushan Patil in mumbai North. Gaikwad is the mla from Dharavi assembly constituency in mumbai while Goyal is a rajya sabha member. In mumbai North-East, BJP's Mihir Kotecha will face Shiv Sena's (UBT) Sanjay Dina Patil. Kotecha is an mla from Mulund assembly constituency in Mumbai. After filing nomination papers, Gaikwad met uddhav Thackeray. Gaikwad said thackeray promised him his support and said he would be sent to delhi as an MP.
