Addressing an election campaign rally in Pune, rahul gandhi had severely criticized prime minister Modi. rahul gandhi had slammed prime minister Modi for performing underwater puja at Dwarka, accusing him of ignoring important issues like unemployment and inflation in the country.

He further said, "Prime minister Modi sometimes talks about pakistan and sometimes plays underwater." He said. He also said that instead of talking about issues like farmers, unemployment, inflation and volcanoes, tv channels are only focusing on PM Modi's underwater puja.

BJP is responding to rahul Gandhi's comment. bjp National Spokesperson Shesad Poonawalla said, “Recently, Karkeji has been creating a rift between ram and shiva devotees... They say 'Sanathanam is a disease. All this is coming from congress and its allies. congress which opposed prime minister Modi is now opposing Krishna. Why are Kilesh Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, who claim to be Yaduvanshis, silent?" he asked.

He continued, "The anti-Hindu face of the congress has been exposed. On the one hand, the prime minister, who is a devotee of Krishna, visits the Dwarka and prays. On the other hand, rahul gandhi mocks it as a drama.” He said.Earlier, prime minister Modi himself had spoken about this a few days ago. Then he said, "The prince of congress mocked my pooja at Dwarka for the sake of voter politics."

Prime minister Modi, who visited Dwarka on february 25, had posted about this on his X page. Notably, Modi had said that his "praying at the water-immersed city of Dwarka was a very divine experience. I felt connected to an ancient era of spiritual greatness and timeless devotion. May Lord sri krishna bless us all."
