Under the leadership of delhi Pradesh congress Committee President Devendra Yadav, congress workers protested strongly against the increase of Rs 2 in milk prices at all Mother Dairies in the capital delhi and launched a signature campaign. On this occasion, Yadav targeted the bjp government at the center and said that this government is only in favor of the capitalists and is breaking the back of the poor and the middle class by continuously increasing inflation. He said that now for the poor, sayings like 'Dal-Roti Khao, Prabhu Ke Gan Sing' have also started to seem meaningless.

Prices of essential commodities including milk are sky high

Devendra Yadav told with figures that in 2014, milk was Rs 48 per liter, which has now become Rs 69 per liter, i.e. an increase of 44%. Yadav said that despite this excessive price rise, the government has remained a mute spectator, while the prices of crude oil have fallen in the international market. The government has put an additional burden on the common man by increasing excise duty and VAT.

Prices of medicines also increased, poor deprived of treatment

Yadav said that apart from food items, now medicines are also becoming out of the reach of the common man. Recently NPPA has allowed a 10.7% increase in the prices of essential medicines. This has made essential medicines like cancer, heart, diabetes and antibiotics even more expensive for poor patients. He warned that the business of fake medicines is also spreading rapidly in the market, which can lead to a serious health crisis. Devendra Yadav said that the bjp government has made the life of the common man difficult by the double blow of inflation and unemployment. He appealed to the people to support the congress in this fight against inflation and oppose the anti-people policies of the BJP.
