
UP's capital lucknow is going to witness a historic moment in the defense sector tomorrow on Sunday. The production unit of the world's most destructive supersonic cruise missile 'Brahmos' is going to be inaugurated tomorrow at the lucknow node of the Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor. During this, chief minister yogi Adityanath and Defense minister Rajnath Singh will also inaugurate the Titanium and Super Alloys Materials Plant (Strategic Materials technology Complex). This plant will produce high quality materials for the aerospace and defense sector, which will be used in Chandrayaan mission and fighter aircraft. Along with this, the Integration and Testing Facility project of Brahmos Aerospace will also be inaugurated, which will play an important role in the testing and integration of missiles.

Let us tell you that the construction of Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor was announced by prime minister Narendra Modi in 2018. After which this corridor has been a priority of the yogi government. This corridor has six nodes which include lucknow, Kanpur, Aligarh, Agra, Jhansi, and Chitrakoot. Extensive investment is being made to promote defense production at these places.
Talking about the lucknow node, the foundation stone of the BrahMos unit as well as the Defense Testing Infrastructure System (DTIS) will be laid here tomorrow on Sunday, which will assist in testing and certification of defense products. A short film based on BrahMos Aerospace and Aero Alloy technology as well as Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor will also be shown at the inauguration ceremony. During this, DRDO Secretary Dr. sameer V Kamat will give the welcome address, while PTC industries Chairman Sachin Agarwal will tell about the company's contribution.
