Saamana has accused bjp and PM narendra modi of doing politics on 'Operation Sindoor' in its editorial. The newspaper claims that PM Modi had said in a program, "Now hot vermilion flows in my veins, not blood. While bjp and PM had appealed to everyone not to do politics on Operation Sindoor, have they forgotten their statement and started the politics of vermilion? If this is so, then it is inhuman." The newspaper further wrote, "If Modi is a Hinduist, then he should understand the importance of Sindoor and speak about it. Sindoor is worn on the forehead. Taking PM Modi's statement further, the newspaper wrote that bjp and the central government should not politicise the action of the indian Army, because it is a matter of national security. Politicising the 'Sindoor' issue is a symbol of how insensitive the bjp is in this matter. The surprising thing is that they are carrying out the 'Sindoor' yatra in such a way, as if it is the start of political propaganda or the bjp workers themselves went to fight on the border and it was because of them that the revenge of pahalgam was accomplished.
