The Delhi government has launched 200 'Devi' electric buses, which were flagged off by prime minister Modi. CM rekha Gupta called it a big step towards improving the air quality of Delhi.

Delhi DEVI bus Inauguration: Rekha Gupta government has gifted 200 e-buses to the people of Delhi. On thursday (June 5), prime minister Narendra Modi flagged off 200 DEVI i.e. Delhi Electric Vehicle Interconnector buses across Delhi. cm rekha Gupta and Union Environment minister Bhupendra Yadav were also present with PM Modi.


The inauguration program of DEVI buses was organized at Mahavir Vanasthali Park in delhi, from where PM Modi flagged off these buses.


Air quality will improve' - Rekha Gupta

Delhi chief minister rekha Gupta has announced that this initiative is a visionary step towards improving the air quality of delhi as well as strengthening the green and sustainable transport system in the capital. During this, cm rekha Gupta claimed that her government is committed to making Delhi clean, green, and pollution-free.

After the inauguration, delhi chief minister rekha Gupta traveled in Devi e-bus with Union Environment minister Bhupendra Yadav. Its video has also surfaced.

What is the DEVI bus scheme

These electric buses being run under the 'Devi' bus scheme in delhi will serve on 27 routes. Under this scheme, the Transport Department aims to provide complete connectivity to the people till the last mile of Delhi and improve the transport service.


These electric buses will be in three colors

Let us tell you, till now 12 meter-long buses run in Delhi, but these electric buses are 9 meters long, which have been made keeping in mind comfort, convenience, and environmental sustainability. Information related to the routes of these buses is available on the One delhi mobile app. Under the delhi government's 'Devi' scheme, a total of 2,080 electric buses are to be launched, which will be in three colors - orange, yellow, and green.
