1. Reaction to Jan Suraj’s Defeat
Prashant Kishor broke his silence after Jan Suraj failed to win any seats in the bihar Assembly elections.
He described the outcome as a “crushing defeat” but insisted the campaign had a visible grassroots impact.
According to Kishor, the defeat did not reflect the feedback and momentum observed during his month-long Jan Suraj Yatra.
2. Allegations of election Rigging
Kishor claimed that the elections appeared “rigged”, although he admitted he currently has no concrete proof.
He pointed out that voting patterns did not match what his team had recorded during field interactions.
Some parties that were barely known to the public received millions of votes, which Kishor found suspicious.
He suggested that “unstoppable forces were at play”, implying possible external interference.
Addressing claims circulating in political circles, he said:
EVM tampering is a common allegation after losing,
But several irregularities seemed too unusual to ignore.
He emphasized that prima facie something seemed wrong, though the exact cause was unclear.
3. Allegations of Cash Distribution to Voters
Kishor accused the ruling nda government of engaging in large-scale financial inducement of voters.
He claimed that between the announcement of elections and the voting day, thousands of women received ₹10,000 each.
According to him:
The ₹10,000 was presented as the first installment,
Voters were allegedly promised a total of ₹2 lakh.
Kishor argued that this financial tactic significantly influenced voting behavior.
4. Fear of “Jungle Raj” as Another Factor
Kishor said that the fear of the return of Lalu prasad Yadav’s “Jungle Raj” worked strongly against Jan Suraj.
Many voters believed Jan Suraj had little chance of winning in the final phases of campaigning.
Voters feared that choosing a non-winning party could indirectly help the opposition and bring back instability.
This psychological factor, according to Kishor, turned some voters away from supporting Jan Suraj.
