Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is now ready to increase the security. They have planned to install new latest modern day surveillance cameras in and around the shrine. The authorities are making examination in and around the shrine regarding this surveillance cameras.


Also they will consider the funds as an important factor and based on the funds the suitable cameras will be identified. It has to be noted that the  Tirumala temple is classified as category-A (high risk) structure.


A source said, that authorities have decided to install more than 2000 Security cameras. The TTD board had come up with the idea of increasing surveillance by installing cameras in 2013. Right now the shrine has 300 cameras were installed at Vantage points.


These cameras were installed in densely populated areas such as Kalyanakatta, Annadana complex, the four mada streets, two ghat roads, areas near the forest and the bus stand parking place. The project is estimated to come around Rs.65 Crores.  Few companies themselves have came forward to donate few cameras.
