A red alert has been issued by the telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) for a number of regions in the state due to projected extreme heat, with highs of above 47 degrees Celsius predicted for the next 48 hours on tuesday and Wednesday.
 
It is predicted that there will be intense heatwaves with highs of 47 degrees Celsius in places like Jagtial, Peddapalli, Mancherial, Kumuram bheem Asifabad, Suryapet, nalgonda, Khammam, Mahabubabad, bhadradri Kothagudem, Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy, and Nagarkurnool.
 

The meteorological bureau in hyderabad forecasts a temperature increase of 41 degrees Celsius, signifying an extended period of extreme heat.
 
Tuesday saw high temperatures throughout a number of regions; Matur in nalgonda recorded a scorching 45.5 degrees Celsius.
 
The temperatures in Mangapet in mulugu (45.1 degrees Celsius), Timmapur in nalgonda (45.1 degrees Celsius), and Madugulapally in nalgonda (45 degrees Celsius) were among the other regions that saw extremely high heat.
