The chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has chaired a special meeting on the proposal of creation of new districts, the Hyderabad collectorate has swung into action to collect details of all 16 mandals and two revenue sub-divisional offices, which has come under the Hyderabad district jurisdiction.


The Hyderabad collector Rahul Bojja has told that he has submitted geographical maps, sketches, population figures and has sent them to the chief secretary through the chief commissioner of land administration.


Rahul Bojja has also added that the government is yet to give clarity on the number of districts to be created by merging Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts and due to the move to recast districts, the proposal of constructing new Hyderabad integrated collectorate complex has been put on hold. 


The government had sanctioned Rs 60 crore to construct the complex at the existing Hyderabad Collectorate in Abids but has asked the district administration not to go ahead with the new collectorate complex.
