Sometimes few situations come as a boon in disguise for politicians who are facing a tough time. This happened with KCR in December 2009 and Jagan in 2011 when Congress party made them heroes.
Even Seemandhra agitation made the otherwise self centered businessman and Vijayawada MP Lagadapati a big hero and what more a sudden hero, the status which he is doing till this day. Now by stripping Minister Sridhar Babu of his legislative affairs portfolio, CM Kiran seems to have done a similar thing.
Sridhar Babu was among those Telangana Congress leaders who didn’t have much hope of getting re-elected due to anti-incumbency factor and other host of reasons. Except for saying Sonia will take care of Telangana issue, he never participated actively in T movement.
But the lucky stroke extended by CM Kiran was a boon in disguise and this sole Brahmin minister made sure he milk maximum benefit out of it by resigning from his ministry and saying his resignation is nothing compared to suicides by thousand Telangana youth and his re-election from Manthani Assembly in 2014 polls is now assured!
