The Sri Meenakshi Temple is considered to be the height of South Indian Vijayanagar temple architecture. The annual 10-day Meenakshi Tirukalyanam festival is celebrated during April and May and attracts 1 million visitors. The Meenakshi Temple is located in the heart of the city of Madurai in Tamil Nadu, South India.
