FICA: This former veteran female cricketer became the first woman president of FICA, she has a record in ODIs

The Federation of international Cricketers (FICA) has got a new president. Former Australian female cricketer Lisa Sthalekar has become the first female president of FICA. The 42-year-old Sthalekar's name was approved at the FICA Executive Committee meeting held in Neon, Switzerland. Sthalekar has also been the former captain of Australia.
Prior to Lisa, former South African batsman Barry Richards, former west indies all-rounder jimmy adams and most recently former england batsman vikram Solanki held this position. This was the first meeting of Fika after the Corona epidemic. Heath Mills, FICA's Executive President, said: "We are delighted to have Lisa as President.
Sthalekar expressed happiness after becoming the president. He said- We are entering a new era of the game. Sthalekar was born in Pune, India.Sthalekar has played 187 matches for australia in his international career.

Sthalekar has scored 2728 runs in 125 ODIs with the help of two centuries and 16 half-centuries. Apart from this, he has also taken 146 wickets. She was the first female cricketer to score 1000 runs and take 100 wickets in ODI cricket.


Apart from this, Sthalekar has also played eight Tests and 54 t20 Internationals. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame by australia in 2021.
