He has scored 3982 runs in Tests with 12 centuries and 15 fifties, 339 runs in ODIs with a half-century, and 169 runs in T20Is.He tweeted that today, with great gratitude and humility, he announce his retirement from all forms of international cricket. His journey from 2002-2018 was the most exciting year of his life as it was the honor of representing india at the highest level of the game. He is thankful for the opportunities given to him by the Board of Control for cricket in india (BCCI), tamil Nadu cricket Association (TNCA), and chennai Super Kings.
