Former mumbai Indians cricketer Shivalik Sharma has been arrested by Kudi Bhagatsani Housing Board police of jodhpur, Rajasthan. This former IPL cricketer has been accused of rape by one of his friends. It is reported that the girl who has made these allegations against him was also engaged to the cricketer.
Cricketer Shivalik Sharma and the girl who made the allegations became friends through Instagram. After this, the friendship between the two turned into love. During this time, Shivalik also went to jodhpur to meet her several times. The cricketer promised marriage, the two also got engaged. The girl alleged that Shivalik kept on luring her for marriage and also had physical relations.
The victim had told that after living together for about a year, Shivalik's family refused to marry. After which the girl has filed a case against Shivalik and his family members in Kudi police station. After these serious allegations, Shivalik was arrested from Atladra police station area of vadodara on Saturday. He was produced in jodhpur court, after which he was sent to judicial custody.
Shivalik Sharma was in mumbai Indians Team
Shivalik Sharma was included in the team of mumbai Indians captained by hardik pandya in IPL last year (2024). He was bought for Rs 20 lakh, although he could not play a single match. This year (IPL 2025) he is not a part of any team.
Shivalik, who played for Baroda cricket team in the domestic tournament, scored 1087 runs in 18 first class matches. Here he played 3 centuries and 5 half-century innings. He scored 322 runs in 13 matches played in List A. He also played 19 t20 matches, in which he scored 349 runs. He played his last match in Ranji Trophy in january this year. In this match against Jammu and Kashmir, he scored 64 and 18 runs.
